Safely browse the Internet

  1. When using the search engine, avoid to click links that contain the word “ Ad ” next to it, most spyware and adware live in those links.

  2. Install product updates and security patches before using the Internet. Visit the software or browser manufacturer’s Web site for the latest updates.

  3. Do not click links you receive in email. Instead type the Web address directly into your browser.

  4. Only provide information on sites that start with https:// (the “S” stands for secure site) or if the lock icon appears at the bottom of the browser window.

  5. Do not respond to or open suspicious error or warning dialog boxes.

  6. Do not accept free deals that pop up on your screen without first checking to ensure the offer is legitimate.
